This is not another statement. This is a letter from our team.

To Our Member Community,

The past two weeks have been filled with a wide range of emotions. Grief over the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. Devastation about the countless lives that have been lost due to systemic racism in all its forms. Sympathy and compassion for their families. And hope, as our home city of Philadelphia made its voice heard in support of racial equality and social justice through peaceful protests in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

One of the commitments we make to our members is Partnership - a promise to support and empower every member of the Perpay community. As a partner, we have a duty to our Black teammates, members, and the greater community to listen, speak up, and take action.

During this time, we have engaged in conversations with our entire team about racism and injustice. We have gone beyond talk to focus on the actions we can take to improve Black lives not only during moments of protest but continually moving forward. Because we understand the impact direct financial support can make, our team has started by making individual donations to the organizations listed below, which will be matched by the company.

At Perpay, when faced with any challenge, we work collaboratively toward a solution. When it comes to acting on the issue of systemic racism, our approach will be the same. From hiring and training to branding and partnerships, we’re examining where we fall short and identifying ways to improve. To us, this means prioritizing diversity and inclusion initiatives, maintaining accountability, and offering our time and resources through volunteer work in our community. While these are small steps, we’re committed to change and transparency along the way.

As a financial services company, we understand the connection between economic inclusion and an equitable society. We recognize the positive impact that our platform can have, especially in under-resourced communities. Now, more than ever, we remain committed to fostering financial access, and we will increase our efforts to address systemic racism, confront bias, and combat inequality within our company and in our communities.

In unity,

The Perpay Team
